CONN. April 2, 2004 DATACAD LLC today celebrates the 20th anniversary of its
DataCAD architectural design software and its principal author, David A.
Giesselman. Currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
with DATACAD, Mr. Giesselman has been a DataCAD software engineer since 1984.
DATACAD will honor Mr. Giesselmans achievement at its annual DataCAD Users
Conference on April 23, 2004 at the Avon Old Farms Inn, Avon, Connecticut. For

DataCAD History
Originally developed for Stewart Griffin Burgh and Associates, an architectural firm in Charlottesville, Virginia, DataCAD was first offered to architects by DataGraphic Systems, Inc. which later re-incorporated as Microtecture Corporation.
DataCAD was one of the first PC-based CADD programs developed specifically for architects and stands as the only CADD software ever endorsed by the American Institute of Architects for direct distribution to its members. By 1988, DataCAD was in use by more than 12,000 firms in the United States and Canada. Today, DataCAD has more than 250,000 installations, in more than 80 countries world wide. In the most recent AIA firm survey, DataCAD was ranked as the second most widely used software among registered architects.
DataCAD Annual User Conference Information
The annual DataCAD Users Conference will be held at the Avon Old Farms Inn Hotel, Avon, Connecticut, on Friday April 23, 2004. A reception hour will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., to be followed by a program that is sure to be fun-filled as well as informative. In addition to presenting "Features You May Not Know About in DataCAD 11," and "DataCAD LT 11," DATACAD is encouraging attendees to bring old memorabilia items from their DataCAD historical archives for a kind of "Antiques Road Show" timeline.
