DATACAD Garners ADEX Design Award
DataCAD 8 Wins CADD Category for Design Excellence

AVON, Conn. January 07, 1999 DATACAD LLC announced today that its DataCAD 8 architectural CADD software has received a 1998 ADEX award. Sponsored by Design Journal magazine, ADEX stands for "Award for Design Excellence" and recognizes superior design of products marketed to the architectural and design trade. Chosen from over 1,200 entries, DataCAD 8 won in the Software and Technology / CADD Software category based on its design, robust 2D and 3D functionality, ease of use, and style. The ADEX design award has established itself as one of the coveted prizes for manufacturers of products marketed to the AEC trade," said Mark Madura, President and CEO of DATACAD LLC. "CADD software has become an essential, everyday tool for many architects and contractors, akin to the widespread use of word processing software among business computer users. We are very honored to be recognized in this category and receive this prestigious award."

"The judges had a daunting task this year," said John Moses, this years Awards Director, "We spent over two weeks judging this category, and if it were not for the deadline it could have been two months."

DataCAD 8 will be featured along with the other winners in Design Journals ADEX issue in January 1998.
