X3. It introduces the fundamental operations needed for creating floor
plans, adding text and dimensions, and using the recently added Symbol
Browser. Because DataCAD makes extensive use of symbols, much emphasis
has been placed on the use and editing of symbols. Undoubtedly the most
important and interesting recent addition to DataCAD has been
'parametric' modeling or building with 'smart objects.' Chapter 15
(parametrics) has been moved up to Chapter 10 since DataCAD is placing
more emphasis on smart object modeling.
