Menu Access to Custom Colors

A long time wish of ours (since DataCAD went Windows)
is to have a way of keyboard shortcutting changing of
colors to a custom color. When changing to a custom
color, a dialog box pops up that requires using of the
mouse. Somebody in our office came up with a macro
to do the job, but it renders a key useless in other
programs. If custom colors were accessible through
the menu system, that would be a big help to those who
use them.

Maybe as soon as we are prompted to pick a color, we could just type in the color number or name in to a prompt in the information bar.

ie; 134, ENTER or lightpickelgreen,ENTER.

Think that would work good?

Oh, I forgot about keyboard entries. Yes, I think your example would work as well. Just something that can be programmed into a macro as a string of keystrokes (which would include F keys in the menu, of course). Mouse actions can't be programmed in.

232, ENTER or driedmustard, ENTER would be okay by me.

Hello Guys,

Don't forget that we can use several color palettes, which will relocate color positions on each table.

Thanks,
Miguel
