Contour search for hatching, measuring SF, and soon for Fills is probably the most time saving feature DataCAD has added lately. Has anyone thought about contour search for defining the outline of 3D slabs?

You idea is very good.
BTW, have you tried using the 'Contour Search' feature for Covered Polylines ?
Perhaps you can be not so far from your target. At least for plan/orthographic slab applications.
