Wishlist - include the ability to add additional snap points to the surface perimeter of a smart wall type to create any wall shape. We accept having tapered extrusions is more complex so for starters allowing the irregular shape as a single extrusion (Z-axis) would be welcomed.

Yes, Smart Walls will need to have parametric Z axis properties. Steps and tapers and sloped tops and stepped bottoms - all at various Z heights will be needed if we ever expect parametric walls to be used by very many people.

We also will need Smart Floors, Smart Stairs and Smart Roofs to have full parametric building models as the basis for construction documents.

Yes, it would be a big step forward to see further development of the smart parametrics. DataCAD's "unique" way of allowing a hybrid BIM approach has so much potential compared to the more rigid pure BIM software. ... my fingers are crossed

Wish when editing a symbol and then doing a save-as, that the directory that opens up would be the same directory that the current symbol is located.

To improve speed and negate the need to turn a clipcube off then check the z-b/z-h settings add the ability to simply move the crosshair over any clipcube boundary and have a text flyout show the current z-base/z-height settings for the clipcube.

Add the ability to allow any entity to "ignores clipcubes" via the ctrl-right mouse click option.

Wish in the Smart Entitiy Managers, there is a 2d representation of the item that shows the changes as you make them, i.e. below the wall settings have an image showing a short lines with end & cavity settting that change as one makes changes.

Wish in the Plot Sheet menu that one can move sheets up and down the list so they end up in the correct order, and that one could batch plot multiple sheets into one .pdf file in the correct order.

Hello Roger,

DataCAD already allows you to move individual sheets up or down in the plot sheet list. What is really needed is a Plot Sheet Manager that works in a similar way to the Layer Manager and allows one or more sheets to be selected and moved up/down to quickly organize the sheet ordering. The current system works....but it's cumbersome especially when the drawing file has 100-150+ sheets and more are needed closer to the front of the list

It kind of does, it does move the contents from one sheet and adds it to to another, but then you need to rename the sheet. But I can not say move a sheet from F10, and insert it between existing sheets F2 & F3. It will add the info from Sheet F10 to the sheet at F3. I agree a Plot Sheet Manager would be a nice addition to our tools.

Hi Roger,

Yes, it does the 'bare minimum' and could be enhanced to improve it. If you need to insert a sheet between sheets .... ....you need to move everything in front of it further down the list....if you have a lot of sheets in front, then you have a lot to move before you can insert the additional sheet(s). This makes it time consuming and hence the ask for a Plot Sheet Manager type of interface similar to the LM.

Some of our labels for smart walls, windows, doors are wider than the preview space available so the full extent of the label name cannot be seen.

Add the ability to stretch/increase the width of the display window where the names are shown.
