Add Scale To Pen print options to Symbols
Posted: Wed Apr 13, 2022 10:50 pmWe have a lot of symbols that have their line weights suitable for certain detail sheets, mainly for documentation (1:50 down to say 1:5). With the new Smart Symbols and symbol layers recently introduced a lot of these symbols are now being enhanced allowing them to be used from concept drawings onwards, but, the printable line weights doesn't always suit the drawing scale. A symbol that displays/prints correctly at say 1:20 becomes a splodge at 1:100 or 1:200. To allow further use of Smart Symbols across every drawing at any scale, add the option to ctrl-right click over a symbol, then select Scale To Pen in the pop up menu which then opens the standard STP menu where a custom STP pen setting can be used for the selected symbol allowing finer or heavier line weights/pen settings to suit.
