2D-3D Symbols import options
Posted: Sun May 22, 2022 7:24 pmWe've adopted a lot of smart symbols including 2D-3D symbols but find the drawing file size can quickly jump up depending on the level of detail for the 3D objects.
Wishlist - add the option to include or exclude the 3D layer(s) associated with the 2D symbol when importing into a drawing, or have the choice to reference them externally rather than within the drawing. This allows the one 2D-3D symbol to be used in both situations and if a user requires the full 2D-3D symbol to be displayed the Symbol/Replace feature can be used to reinsert the symbol with all layers selected, as required.
