What features would you like to see added to a future version of DataCAD?

It might be nice to have a notice of update bubble appear, kind of like the windows update bubble in appearance.
If you are working in a drawing with an xref, and someone else is working in the xref'd drawing, when they hit "save", a notice appears on your screen that the referenced file has been updated.
That way you can refresh or reload the xref as needed.

Sometimes I get tired of yelling across the office "did you save that file yet!"

Acad2006 added this feature, which is kind of cool.

Actually AutoCAD has had it since 2002, if not before that. That is when I started using AutoCAD professionally.

Edit: I checked and AutoCAD started it in 2004. Sorry

This would be a perfect fit for the "network friendly" mindset
DataCAD adopted a while back. Why not take it one step
further and have a notice for somebody who opens the file?

Well when you open the file, the xref is automatically loaded with the most recent version so I don't believe it would be necessary.
IMHO

I don't think my statement was very clear. If a notice could appear
upon somebody else saving an Xref'd file, why not a notice that
could appear if somebody else opens a file while you're using its
Xref? That way you would know somebody was in that file. Does
this have any use?

Ahhh
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

That could be useful...

That's a fine feature, Boof.

Got my vote for it.

Thanks,
Miguel
