A button to repeat the last command, like save symbol, hatch by boundry, etc. This button can be turned off so the erase command erases only a single time, then a new command must be entered. Many commands are already sticky, like erase, change, etc. but some are not. I would like to have more say in which commands are sticky.

You are right. This is a good suggestion. It was this way on previous releases using templates.

Sorry, don't agree with you. I prefer the way as it is in DataCAD. You can exit a command by right clicking at any place. It is much more probable that you use a command in more then one time that the opposite.
And remember that you always can use the 'transparent' access, generaly on toolbar icons, which can use built-in function numbers. It allows the prompt return to the previous command is use.
