In Sketch-Up, there is the ability to edit the colour of a texture directly within Sketch-Up. This would be of great help from within Datacad. It is a bit tedious to open the bitmap with a graphics program and then to edit the colour

In the Rendering settings dialog, Turn ON "Mix texture with rendered color" located under Texture Name and select the Rendered color. Note you are not limited to just 255 colors. You can select Custom color by clicking Custom Button in color dialog and set the rendered color.

Thanks Devinder, the colour mix goes part way to solving the problem. The answer however, is always a mix of colours and not the straight application of colour that Sketch Up seems to offer.

A trick to improve the effect is to have black and white the material in. Because the mixture does not leave very well if the texture already will be in colors.
