Pietro, Years ago (last in 1996), DataCAD shipped with a great rendering and animation program called Visual Reality by Visual Software, Inc. That company has since died, so the next best thing for "rendering" is either o2c (included) or SketchUp (increasing compatibility). Only SketchUp has any hint of animation, but is far from the abilities that VR had. Some here on the forum still use VR for presentation purposes regularly.
If you could develop a good rendering / animation program to be a part of DataCAD or easily paired with it, some of us out here would be very happy.
What are some examples of your past programming? Then we could give you some better ideas based on your level of skill. There is supposed to be a Delphi of DCAL (Datacad's programing language) manual in the works, but I don't think anyone has seen or heard anything. I've been waiting for it for about a year or so since it was announced. Are you familure with programing for a CAD application?
Thanks! - Josh
