This allows for creation of a extremely small file size, perfect for Orthophotos and yet it keeps very good resolution down to small scales. Developed for GIS, many states use it for their base data.
It would be extremely handy if DCAD could use this format in addition to the image formats it already handles. As it is now, you have to find a program that allows you to convert it into jpg or tiff format in order to be used in DCAD.
