Extended Characters in True-fonts

For those of us using TTF, it would be nice to have at-least the basic character-set of the font available. The fact that I can't access the "degree"-character while in TTF for technical-drawings is totally illogical. And while most fonts have a "+/-"-character and "diameter", there's no way to type in their ASCII or Unicode designation.

But not being able to access"degree" is really annoying on site plans and converting civil engineers' drawings...

Ted:

Does ALT + 0176 get you what you want? For other extended TTF characters, go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map.
