I would like two things to make DataCAD work with o2c much better.
First the ability to have saved views within o2c viewer so we can always get back to a selected vantage point when tweaking changes to the model and textures.
Secondly, DataCAD needs the ability (by user choice) to have adjacent polygons treated as one surface for mapping textures and images to 3d models, and so they will appear smoother as well.
Other programs that use o2c as a render engine seem to have this second wish, you can see it evidenced in o2c objects downloaded from other sources. Using the stand alone o2c player looking at a model that has textures mapped, will display correct, but insert that model into DataCAD and the effect is gone. The texture mapping is garbled because each polygon is getting the texture mapped to it, thus in effect destroying the look of the object.
