Steel Detailing MACRO

Hello.
I am a structural-civil engineer and i am using Datacad since version...6!
I was verry  happy to see double precision comming into datacad.
I can use the program to draw...manually al the details for steel structures; as long as tge structures are simple, like rectangular warehouses, things are ok; trouble begins when you need to modify things!
to make a long story short: does anyone have a macro to do steel detailing the way professional steel detailing prgrams do? (strucad, sds/2, xsteel)
no2: is it possible to develop menus like "smart entities" are, to automatically draw beams, columns, joints, etc.
the programs that i am talking about are   very expensive!(over 15000usd), so, any developing intentions might be wellcome!

Hi,

There is a free macro for DataCAD called SteelPro, which draws all sorts of steel sections, bar joist ends, etc.

tavipop,

Have you looked at the macro SteelPro? What fucntionality are you looking for in a basic "Structural" program?
