This morning we received a notice from our Attny David Hatem's Office regarding a .dwg virus which attaches itself and copies itself into all directories with dwg files, then modifies user information and sends the information possibly.
Where? originally to a site in China, but that site was shut down.

If anyone can provide more information on this it would be helpful.
We have some .dwg but not many. Norton 360 does not seem to be checking for this.
This is a big problem I am afraid, but *.dwg is a big target and it is overdue in many ways.
Hopefully it will not affect us quite so much, but be aware of outside dwg I think, until we know more.

Hi Rick:

I assume you are referring to the ACAD/Medre.A worm. More information on it can be found here.
