After I've imported by engineers drawing, say 25 layers, all the S (Snap Grid) are ON for all layers. Any to globally change them to OFF? At the moment I
tab through the drawing turning each off. A bit of a pain. Thank you.

Try using GridLock macro, turn on all layers, turn off grid snap and then begin.
