When exporting V12 SHX fonts (say Romans) to DWG there is an increase in size of approx 35%.. If you import them back from DWG into DataCad they revert to the origional size........Any Ideas.

SHX font definitions in AutoCAD's font folder are different than from DataCAD's font folder, even if they have the same name. For consistency, you can copy the fonts from one folder to other, or change your DataCAD's font path to look for AutoCAD's font folder.

Using autocads fonts would be a really good way of avoiding text size problems. Is it possib;e to also link to autocads line types and therefore avoiding creating the dreaded shx file ?

DataCAD currently does not support SHX linetypes as AutoCAD does. It is on the wishlist though.

Great item to improve, Devinder.

We would like to have this available, for sure.

Thanks,

I'm having the same problem and would like to take Devinder's suggestion.

However, I don't know how to change DataCAD's font path.

Tools, Program Preferences. On the Pathnames tab, look for "DataCAD Fonts" about half way down the first screen.
