I have read that O2C works with Android but have had no success in downloading an app to my Android based phone or tablet. Is it possible? What a wonderful thing if my clients were able to have a player that showed the 3D model of their space (as I can do using my windows desktop machine using O2C0).

It's not clear to me how Eleco plans to make the o2c Cloud Player available to end-users, or if they plan only to license it for web sites.

Here's the link: http://www.o2c.de/en/examples/o2c-cloud.html

Instead of developing individual apps for various platforms and browsers (i.e., PC, Macintosh, Android, iOS, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera), they decided to port (I assume) the DirectX-based player to (I'm guessing) JavaScript, and WebGL for compatibility with any browser that supports HTML5. So if you enter the link above in any Internet browser on any device, it should work. Now if you right-click on the Player and select Objekt laden... (a.k.a. Load Object), you can select an o2c file from your local device.

So has anyone been using the o2c app on their android? I tried it today and it seems to work pretty well. Would just like to be able to increase the viewing window a little bit more. Not really that versed in the phone yet so any input/advice would be great. Thank you.

It's not clear how Elecosoft is marketing this technology. However, they have a couple of WebGL-based examples. This is the direction that most online rendering services are going since it is platform-independent. You only need a Web Browser to use it.

The marketing materials for Elecosoft's Germain-speaking customers who use ArCon indicates 10 € per month for a minimum period of six months, or 50 € upfront. This is limited to 30 3D objects per month. The maximum file size allowed is 8MB. For 60 objects per month, add 10 € per month. For 120, add 20 €. For unlimited, add 90 €.

If you want to publish your catalog with a company logo and customized fonts and colors, add 150 € (one-time fee).

If you would like to run on your own server, 2,000 - 5,000 €.

I used the 3rd link above in Mark's post. I have to log in each time and then load the model. Wish I could just download the file so I can just open the model. Will have to play with this some more. But at least it works. Pretty cool
