Has it actually finished the raytrace processing yet? Because, it slows down a lot as the resolution gets finer...

We stumbled over this recently. If you press [F8] while displaying the Object Viewer you will see a "blurred" image. Press [F8] to restore the view. You may have to turn off Use 3D Hardware to see this phenomena. For grins, you can toggle [F9] which will display the number of polygons and frames per second in the title bar of the stand-alone player.
