Every time I try to use o2c from within dcad it crashes-dcadwin.exe.
Tried reinstalling program to no avail-any ideas ?

Is it with more than one file? Does it give you any messages or codes? Does it try to load into O2C?

just says -restart dcad-which i do -to no avail.
I can send it to o2c interactive-but takes too long.

Try adding the following entry in DCADWIN.INI and see if that makes any difference:

[Bitmaps]
MinSize=0
MaxSize=0

You will need to restart DataCAD to have these settings come into effect.

If these settings do not make any difference, please remove these entries, as this will affect bitmap fills display speed.

Craziest thing-can't locate the file dcadwin.ini in my support files-was it renamed by any chance?
Seem like i have two sets of 'support' files -one directory under the other. Really flipping out today.

It is in the DataCAD "root" folder!

The error message is Dcadwin.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows.You will neeed to restartthe program. (does not help).
Tried to change the ini file. not helping. tried to reload again, no good.

Could us provide us with details of your computer/OS/video settings etc and DataCAD version. Also open Windows explorer and browse to any o2c file and double click to launch itself in its own viewer. Does this viewer crash? Right Click on this viewer and Select "Info" menu item from the Pop-Up menu. Also mention the version number from the dialog box.

Do you get a crash when you export o2c file using "File" -> "Export" -> "o2c" method?

No crash when I export to o2c interactive, no crash when I open files using explorer.

If you create a blank new drawing and add a couple of lines and Run Object Viewer, does this crash? If not, could you email the crashing drawing to techsupport@datacad.com for us to take a look.

I saved a new version of an o2c object, and when I open it in o2c Interactive!, I get this error:



and it then shows a view of the model, but I cannot orbit. I'll try remaking the o2c object; though the o2c object viewer in DataCAD had no problems.

[Edit: reopening the model in DataCAD (so it was purged) and resaving the o2c object did not help; and I've sent the file into Tech Support to let them take a look at it.]
