Is o2c able to simulate the shadow of different seasons with different clock times?

O2C is just a viewer. I t has no control over the lights and they don't move with the model anyway. The Raytrace facility is merely cosmetic.
For this purpose, you are better off with Quickshader.
If you want to get truly serious, the dhShadow macro is the best bet with DataCad.

Hello Martell
The most effective option I have use is to export your DataCad 3d Model to Sketchup-Pro by Google(I dont trust the Free version to give accurate shadows).
I like it because it casts shadows to uneven surfaces like a TIN terrain model.

Hello Steve,

I tested now some hours with Sketchup 6 (free).
The export from DataCAD to SKUP doesn´t work without problems.
Sometimes some of my entities are lost, the scale isn´t correct and at least, the shadows are funny. Some objects are working, other not.
However, it is a beta exporter.
So I can´t see if there is a problem in DataCAD or in the free version of Sketchup.

Hello Martell:

These are known problems that should be corrected in the next update.

01. Real world size of model is not correct.

02. Real world scale of textures is not correct.

03. Polygons do not cast shadows.

Can you elaborate on which entities are lost during export?

Thank You,

MFM

Of course.
But I will do tomorrow.
Yesterday it was a long night, my birthday, and I will now stop working.

Thank you guys. :D
If I was younger, it wasn´t so hard :D
I am getting old...
Today old, tomorrow cold

Here are some pictures of lost entities:
First I thougt the reason was the combination of slab/hole and the additional slabpoints. But if I redraw the slabs, it worked.
But you can see the difference in the two pictures. Same model. The one with the lost two slabs is newer.

I will test more...

I don't know why, but this particular thread seems to attract at least one new spammer per week. I'm going to lock it for now and see if that helps.
