Still on Win98Se with 64mb nvidia video card Dell XPS 850 Pentium 3 256 ram

On Datacad 11 the classic raised buttons turn in to white outline button after going to the plot menu.

Do I need a faster video card or more ram? I have 256 currently.

Do I need to upgrade to XP or are the downsides to XP and Service pack 2

Thanks for the troubleshooting

Hello Marc:

I just tried the Classic buttons and they look like they should, even after opening the plot menu.

I think it comes down to a choice: use the new style buttons -- or upgrade to WinXP. For now, it would be a lot easier to not use the Classic buttons?

Because, upgrading to WinXP would take a new HD, more RAM (512MB-1GB would be typical) and about a day to do the upgrade, plus the time to transfer all your data and settings. All the hardware and the OS upgrade will be $400-500, plus all the time to do it...
