Hi all,
Just wanted to know if anyone has heard anything about future upgrades, new features, releases, or anything in general about what DataCad is working on.

Any feed back would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Giuseppe:

The Cheap Tricks newsletter just came out today: v11.08.00 is in the late stages of Beta testing.

In the meantime, DATACAD has its busy beaver Beta users for DataCAD 11.08.00 progressing steadily up to Beta Version 20 at last check. This coming update includes some nice nuggets such as a powerful new Symbol Tools feature in the Context pop-up menu (CTRL-right-click) that can perform all your symbol related tasks of viewing/reloading/refreshing/replacing /redefining/reset Z/edit attributes, etc. directly on a symbol without the need to open the symbol browser or the template menu. You will now also be able to explode a Symbol via
new third option "Insert Layer" (original layer on which symbol was inserted) in addition to the previous "Current Layer" and "Original layers." Improvements in Matching and the ClipCube have been made. Also, sure to bring cheers from many is the new ability to retain the original entity groupings even after moving or copying them in the file.

Hi Neil,
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like some interesting features in the next update. Have you heard anything about further advancement on DataCad's word processing abilities similar to MTEXT or PARAGRAPH TEXT?

Hello Giuseppe:

I have not seen anything more on the MText, since the demo we got in DBUG a couple of months ago. I expect that they are working on it, along with whatever else they have up their sleeves...
