Hello,
I'm hoping that at some point we can get a tool that helps us set up a series of aligned clip cubes that are then compressed into a set of MSP details.
Here's what I am thinking of: if you have drawn a full building section of full wall section, we always need to then have a series of enlarged details all the way from the bottom to the top of the wall. Currently, we then need to manually set up a self reference (or XRef in another file) and then clip cube around each detail, add each of these as a GTV, and then place them on to an MSP sheet.
If the clip cube tool could be used to align a series of areas that are aligned vertically (or horizontally) and all be the same width, then ideally these could be "compressed" closer together and saved as a single GTV, so they can be placed on an MSP sheet efficiently, that would be a HUGE help. Setting up all those self references and saving all those GTV's and then aligning them on an MSP sheet is a lot of work -- and the mechanics of it is always the same, job to job.
Think of this as a "Group Clip", with a user determined number of clip areas, user chosen width, and then the user places them as required.
A picture is worth 1,000 words:
The icing on the cake would be to have the sheet numbers in the titles for each be associated with the sheet number in the MSP be inserted/updated as you work (ArchiCAD does this), but this is obviously a distant future thing....
