It used to be (in DCAD 11) that under the 3d change command you could change the z base and z height. That's not there anymore. How do I do that now?
Also, there was a command that would slice 3d objects, and it was really great for quick, rough roof configurations. Was that 3rd party software? If not, where can I find it now in DCAD 15?

3D Edit, Section, define cut line, 3D Knife might be what you're looking for.

3D Knife in the Section menu, not the main 3D Knife menu.

I want to trim the slab the same way I would trim a 2d line.
The knife command in section makes a section view, as far as I can tell.
I guess I need the 3d power tools macro?

I am so happy I am anal about my backups. Went to my old computer, did a search for *.dcx, and found 3dtools. I got my knife command and I am very happy!

Though it is not obvious, you can define a Section Line in an elevation view then use the 3D Knife option to slice your model horizontally. For that matter, you can 'slice' from any parallel view.
