I tried to save files to dcad 15 so I could draw on home without going thru the process of deactivating 16. I do not see any way of saving to a dcad 15 file and when I started dcad 15 the dcad 16 file would not open. Is it possible to use 16 at work and 15 at home and if so how?

Gary:

Opening a v16 in v15 (assuming you are running the latest version of 15) should merely warn you that the file was last edited in a newer version of DataCAD. Selecting "Yes" will open the file just fine.

I haven't had this problem. Yesterday I helped out a fellow Dcad'r (on V15) who needed an Acad file translated - I worked a little magic through my Acad clone, then imported it in DC V16 and saved it out as a plain AEC file (not a V14 or earlier AEC). He was able to open it without a problem in his V15.
