Stretch Angle Issue

I use Dir/Dis (Direction / Distance) input, and when I am stretching from a snapped Reference Point - and with Ortho on - I am getting small errors in the angle. Sometimes it is a few degrees, and sometimes it is about 23 seconds. I am dragging the direction out well past the point of the end of the stretch. The only way I can avoid this issue is to drag the direct about 2X father than the stretch.
Has any one else seen this? I am using the latest version of v16.
