My local building permitting office is requiring that all Variances, Special Use Permits, etc. be included in the permit documents. There are 27 pages of 8-1/2 x 11 scanned sheets that must be included (occupy 4 pages of 24"x36" sheets.

I can plot the sheets, but can't save to pdf - most likely because of the large size (each scan is roughly .3M).

Any suggestions on reducing the plot size so that I don't have to use the old cut-paste-scan method of years ago?

thanks.

I would just reference the actions on the cover sheet under the drawing index, i.e.
Special Use Pemit #123, issued 1/1/2000, # pages, see attached.
If they allow a spec book, project manual to be submitted, seems like they could accept the other as backup.

You must have nice Plans Reviewers and procedures.....

This county county requires the info on the complete set of construction documents - no references allowed.
I also have to attach the complete set of metal building drawings.

Maybe try creating a separate file that you would use just for PDF'g and xref in each sheet? Don't know if it will work, but it's worth a shot.

Try scanning in your 8.5x11 sheets at about 150-200 dpi, or resize the existing image files to about to about 1500 to 2000 dpi along the 11" side.
