Just completed a small 3D model using smart entities. I assign materials to items such as bldg. trim and fascia/roofs by color. Problem is when I xref the model into a new drawing (to complete exterior site stuff) the materials assigned by color do not carry thru in the xref. I have to load the material as well as reassign it to the specific color. Is there a way to keep these materials bound to the model when xrefed into a new drawing? Thank you.
