Doors and Windows are not working (Architecture button)

I can not insert doors or windows into my walls. I have tried every setting I can find. I am drawing in plan view. I have always worked in 2D.

Help!

Are you using smart doors, walls, etc?
Check your Z-base/Height, walls need to be tall enough for the doors to fit into.

Check to see if you have F5 "One Layer" turned OFF and F6 "Any Layer" turned ON (or vice-versa).
