importing autocad files

I work on datacad 12. it has become a problem to import the recent autocad files. I have to get the files backed to 2007 or earlier to get them to import properly. Is there any solution to this problem.

The best thing to do would be to upgrade to DataCAD 18; as the DWG import/export is as up to date as possible.
If you search this site, you should find a good third party program to possibly save new DWG as older formats.

There is a conversion program, believe it is called DWG TrueView, that will backwards convert dwg files.
