Is there a way to save and load text styles from one file to another? It seems that text styles are saved and loaded within a drawing where as dimstyles can be loaded from an external file...please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,

Hi David..
Yes there is a way
This is what you do...

1. Setting your text for a certain task....(eg. text type for standard dwg, Titles, Border, Sheet number)

2. First set your text for standard...Goto "Text Style" in text menu and save it as "CURRENT"

3. Set again for Sheet Number...Goto "Text Style" in text menu then save as current.

4. Do as above for the rest.

5. You settings will be saved in...style file....
C:\Program Files\DataCAD\Support Files\text.stl

You can open a new dwg...Goto Text Menu then "Text Style" Load whatever style you want

Good luck

Ok...so what you are saying is text styles are saved outside of the drawing file?

Thank you for your help!
