So I go hatch pattern 37 and put the hatch angle at 90 degrees and it gets drawn at 45 degrees. It seems to be out of sync with the starting angle. How do I correct this or can't I. Angle pattern works correctly.

Ansi37 is a 45deg hatch pattern to start with. If you want it to be vertical/horizontal, you need to rotate it 45deg.
