Coloor printing vs color plotting

We have a Xerox Work Center 7225 printer and a Canon ipf785 plotter. Both have the c/m/y/k cartridges but when printing color plots from Datacad the colors are quite different and adjustments need to be made depending on which device you are plotting to. Does anyone know how we can get the same color output (or at least something closer than what we get now) from both devices plotting the same file? Looked at the windows color management and most of it meant nothing to me. I am an old DOS guy and dislike Windows. Thanks for any help.

Not much additional help here, but downloading Color profiles for each of your printers and monitors from their manufactures websites and using Windows Color Management is going to be the easiest and cheapest method. Google and YouTube "Windows Color Profiles", "Windows Color Management" for more detailed info.

Upgrade from that would be getting a personal color calibration kit which run from $300 US and up.

Finally hiring a professional color printer calibrator would be at the top end.

Thanks Josh. I will pass that on to our tech person.
