I keep coming up with 0 sq. ft.???

I am using alt-x (measure) then S.5 (area/per) to get square footage on a plan. No matter if I choose cont. search, rectangle, or both unchosen to trace around the perimeter (my preferred method of course), I keep getting 0 sq. ft. and 0 cubed feet. I dooooo get the perimeter measurement though. Could this be a setting? Or is it more likely a corrupted file?

Hi George,
That sounds odd. Here's what I would suggest doing an associative hatch, and then selecting that?
Have you rebooted since this started happening?

I have rebooted the PROGRAM.... but not the laptop. I will try that tonight. In the meantime, I just when old-school with a desktop calculator, LOL...

Okay, I went to another file and tried area/perimeter and it works in this other file. So I can only assume it is a corrupted file.

You might want to run the Repair tool on that file? Open DataCAD and instead of Open a file, select the Repair from the same menu on the problematic file.
