Extended Characters and New Laptop

Good morning All:

So I have this shiny new Laptop that doesn't have a numeric keypad. I often use this keypad to create symbols and exponents in my drawings. Is there a way around this or am I destined to add a wireless keyboard (Which is not desirable).

Thanks for you help

Dave S.

at one time I was able to buy a remote 10keypad to do the numbers. Haven't shopped for it recently since I make sure the laptop has it.

Or if you can't 'create' the characters you could copy them from an existing file (or perhaps a layer in your default drawing), or create a map to copy from on the fly using the macro that I posted in this thread ( but make sure you download the second version of the macro that I posted). Alan Hendry also posted a CharacterMap.aec file in the same thread.

I have a aec file with all the ASCI code numbers + characters plotted.
I have then created a character file for each of my SHX fonts and plotted to a pdf.
The pdfs are kept with my original font files.

The SHX characters for different fonts do vary!
