I copied a layer from one file to another using "Layer export and import" a door, window and finish schedule.... which worked fine until I started to edit the text.... turns out there are two of EVERYTHING.... so when I edit the text and hit ESC... the old text is on top of the new edited text... this applies to everything on this layer.... two lines, two text... etc....

Somebody help me!

What version of DataCAD are you using?

My suggestion is to go into the old file, ctrl-e to copy to clipboard and pick everything you want to copy over, select copy

Go to the new file and ctrl-v to past the entities in the new file.

I'd just erase the layer/entities you imported in using the layer export/import function.

I know this process works for version 11.

Could you have had doubled info on the original file?
