Hi again
last day i was work in a house plan , my datacad are very stable but,
when I put a window in a wall , two paralele lines show, and a message show

its that correct? a press No
then the drawing gone, why happen this?

i want to reopen, and i cannot, only if i open the asv. but work is lost in the file.

its not common to happen this, but its a some point that i have to care about?



thanks God datacad its not a microsoft product with blue screens and all kind of stuff!

If you get this message again and it's in the correct area, click y for yes. It will then ask for you to pick the outside of the window. Do so.

The reason this question comes up is because of the wall width you have set.

To set this to your desire make sure you're on the edit menu and select

Architect (S3)
Width (F6)

and type in the typical width of your walls.

DataCAD looks for walls to put a window or door into and if it can't find the expected wall width it will find what ever is closest and make sure that the location is correct with you. It's tolerance is something like 4"-5".
