here's the scenerio...I copied a stock plan house file and began working on this new file...everything was ok, I was able to revise this plan, rotate, etc...the go to views work well also, but when I want to turn other layers on that is NOT in that view...I cant...nothing is seen. I could toggle all the layers to click on, nothing but those layers in that specific view is shown. any thoughts?

Have you recalculated the extents? Have you hit the U key to recalculate the Display List? When you copied the file -- how did you do this? When you open the Layer Manager (Control-L), are there entites on those other layers?
