We've discovered that if there's an orphaned Xref in a file, the file will
not batch plot from the blank screen (with no file open). It's
not that the Xref doesn't show up in the plot, but there's no plot file
created at all. This condition is very dangerous. This isn't a "feature",
is it?

Feature or not I have run into it also, before the release of 11.06. But I just hunted down the orphan and fixed it and all was well. I am not sure this is such a bad thing. If you didn't at least get some kind of warning, you might find the missing xref after you have plotted and at a more inopportune time. So I actually considered it a good thing. That way I was aware of the problem and could fix it without getting an awkward surprise in a meeting.

I don't think it's a feature, because if it were I would expect that DataCAD would generate an "orphaned file" warning upon deciding NOT to execute
the command you just gave it. That's an idea... If the batch plot
command could issue an orphan warning, I could live with it.

Found out a couple days ago while Batch Plotting 103 sheets to PDFs. Personally I think it's a good feature, stops the potential goof from getting through without being noticed.
