If this SHX is not a unicode font then you can TRY the following:
Google "shx2shp" command line utility. Dowload from a reliable source and save it in DataCAD's "Fonts" folder. Copy your Shx file also to Fonts folder. Open DOS window and set your active folder to Fonts folder. Convert your shx font to shp file, using "shx2shp ARCQUICK.shx" command in DOS prompt window. Then use command line utility for compiling SHP files to DataCAD CHR fonts which is included with DataCAD in the Fonts folder.
"shp2chr archquick.shp" this will create a chr font.

The resulting chr may not work, and may need some tweaking in SHP file, before converting to chr file. This tweaking could be simple or very compex, depending on the results.

Good luck.
