I have a dimensioning issue that you can only see to help me. I'll send my drawing to anyone who might can help.

I dimension the front corners of the house with stringline. One wall shows a 1/32 dimension (uck- need to correct that). But then I do an overall dimension, and WHAT... no fraction. So, I stretch the "bad" wall in 1/32" to correct. The walls dimension great- no fraction, but the overall shows a 1/32" fraction!!!??? IT'S MATHMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. But we all know the CAD world can hold lots of suprises.

You gotta see this.

If you'll send it to me (athendry@netzero.net) I'll see what I can find. I don't have LT, but I'll see if I can find the problem and correct it in full DC 11.

By any chance, do you normally use Dir/Distance for your input?

I've had this happen before. I'll do a two line trim, do a erase around the intersections and still end up with your situation, I usually just erase the weird entity and re create it and everything is good from then on.Usually if I turn up the presion to 256 it's 1/256 off instead of 1/32. I'll try to send it into tech support next time I find one.

What is your coordinate system usually set to / what do you use? I gave up on Dir/Dist because it always seemed to throw these 1/32" errors into the drawing when I stretched things. I will usually only use Rel/Polar now - no more 32nd's!!!

To be fair, AckCad has been throwing in these errors for the past few years, too (V2004 ~V2006) - FWIW.

We use Rel. Cart.

I'm a relative/cartesian. I dimension with rounding, tolerance 1/8". Whenever a 1/32 comes up, I go to rounding and keep on going.

The problem with rounding comes when you do a stringline and then an overall. With rounding on, the total of the increments can be different than the overall. Be careful.

If you stretch that odd string by 1/64th instead of 1/32nd it will probably correct it.
