I have been able to open and save dc5 files to aec but the go to views do not come across. They get all set at the one go to view I open in the newly created file. This happens with my xp formated drive.

When i use my Win 98 machine the go to views carry over to the new aec.
I can also move an aec file created from a dc5 to the xp and the views are there and work and I can create new ones. It seems something is not working right on the xp dc11 setup where older dc5 file go to views don't
carry over.

I would like to update the other win 98 machine to xp but am concerned I would not be able to get the older dc5 files transtaled to aec with the formatted go to views.

I hope there is a fix. Would a fresh install of dcad 11 help though it would be a major pain. I have loaded the curent updates.

Thanks for the feedback.

If you hit Ctrl+F12 it should take you back to the old 2D GTV's. If your views show up, use the Conv. To 3D button to move them to the new GTV menu.

Another possibility is that “Layer Set” got toggled off by accident. Make sure “Later Set” [S4] is turned on under the GoToView menu.

Hope this helps
