I have a AEC file that when I go to the sheet layout in the plot menu, it closes the file. Any idea on why it does that and what is the best way to fix this problem?
Do you have shared network printers? Try opening the file, going immediately to the print/setup menu and pull down the printer list and reselect your printer. Then exit out of the plot menus and save and then try going back in to the sheet layout.
I have seen this happen when the plotter saved with the file is either not connected or "available" to DCAD in the way it is looking for it to be OR when more than on person is working on the same file and the printers are set up differently on each machine (either different paths to a network printer or different drivers on a shared printer?).
In our case the above steps needed to be taken each time the file was passed back and forth between people and a plot was needed.
