Are you asking to change one entity to match the properties of another entity, including layer?

If so you can use the following string to create a custom keyboard macro to do basically this.

Code: Select allO^8#^S6^S7^S6^F1^$^32#^$^S0^S0^S0
//Entity nearest to cursor is changed to match the current settings

First you use "Identify" "Set all" (Alt-I) to make the entity properties your current settings then in my case I use Alt-O to set any given entity to those same settings.

In case you don't already have this set you should change Alt-I to be
Code: Select allI^7#^$^S8^S0
// Identify Set All

So its a quick ALt-I on the first entity, then Alt-O on the second entity and they will now match.

It works! I was basically looking for the Autocad Match Properties and this is pretty close.

Thanks

The "Change" menu will get you close but it does not have the option for changing layer. The keyboard shortcut is the best approach I can find.
