I'm trying to find a way to change an existing hatch to a new or different pattern. Thanks for any tips.

If your hatch is Associative all you have to do is pick your new pattern, scale and angle then select the existing hatch as an entity. The hatch will update itself to your current settings.

If your hatch is unassociative you will need to delete and re-hatch.

If it's an "associative hatch", you shoud be able to set your PC to the new hatch pattern you want as-if you were going to draw a new hatched-field, then "select" the already hatched-field that you want to change.
