We have found that when we email .plt files to the production printers in our area, any bitmap images in our drawings do not show up. :( Has anyone else encountered this? If so, is there a solution other than sending a .pdf file (which one of the printers does not want to use)? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Change your printer driver for creation of the PLT file.

PLT indeed is not a format itself, it's just a generic extension for printing files with the "format" of the plotter you have choosen.

Try HP-750 or a newer plotter driver and you will get the images included in the PLT file.

BTW, PDF is much better, because it takes all you need.
The recommendation to the printer is to set on Adobe Reader to "unmark" the option to 'shrink' the page to fit the paper of the printer.
It should print it 100% size.

Thanks,
Miguel
