I am not sure how to change a dc5 file to an aec file; the easiest, best way.

As far as I know, the only way to do it is to open DataCad 11, and select File | Open, and then in the drop down box (at the bottm) where it says Files of type: select dc5 and the file should show up. Then you can exit and save the file as an AEC

Hello,

This process indeed makes a copy of your DC5 file, leaving the original without any change.
You can do it in 'bulk', loading all files from a folder at the same time and it will automatically create copies of all your old drawings.

Thanks,
Miguel
